Cellulite, What You Can Do

cellulite,what you can do

Cellulite is the lumpy substance resembling cottage cheese that is commonly found on the thighs, stomach, and butt. Actually it is a fancy name for collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin, which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and look lumpy.

You can check to see if you have it by pinching the skin around your upper thigh. If it looks a bit lumpy, you probably have it. And if you do have it, you're definitely not alone: most girls and women - and some men - are affected.

The thighs, buttocks and the abdomen are the most common areas for a woman to develop this condition

Although it is often mistaken for obesity, it is not actually obesity related because it can also take place in thin lean women.

Underneath the dermis and epidermis are three specific layers of fat. It tends to develop in the subcutaneous fat layers. This layer of fat is unique in its structure compared to the other layers because its fatty parts are structured into specific chambers by strands of linked tissue around it. Hormones also help out with the storage of fat along with the body's metabolism in the subcutaneous fat layer.

Hormonal factors such as estrogen and folliculine also play a role in its formation. It is for the most part found in women during their hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause and also whilst taking birth control pills.

It affects both the slender and larger women. It can settle on the hips, stomach, upper arms, ankles and then we have the more common areas which are the upper thighs and bottom.

We can safely say that it is the enemy of all women and most women at one time or another are plagued with it. So lets see what the contributing factors are before we look at some possible solutions in combating.

First determine whether or not it is genetic. Just as in the case as being over weight may be genetic so it may be in the case of women who suffer with this condition, even if they are thin. Some women are just more prone to it. Then of course fat storage, how and where it lies is also predetermined by your genetics.

Even though you may not have control over these factors you do have control over its biggest enemy and that unfortunately is still lifestyle.

We all familiar with it, alsd labeled orange peel skin and/or cottage cheese skin. If you squeeze the fat and it is smooth you know it is not cellulite but if you have those bumps and lumps then you know you have it.

This is because some of the vessels have leaked fluid into the tissues and have caused congestion. Toxins can't be eliminated from these areas and oxygen battles to go in.

Toxicity is a major contributing factor. Constipation is one of those things that are primarily responsible for toxins building up.

Several factors influence whether a person is affected and how much they have. , your gender, the amount of fat on your body, your age, and the thickness of your skin are all associated with the amount you have or how visible it is. Whatever the cause, it's important to know that there aren't any miracle products, treatments, or medicines that can make it go away. For example, some fancy salon treatments that promise to get rid of it simply cause your skin to puff up through deep massaging, temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite.

What you can do about it?

Cellulite is fat, excess weight can contribute to it. Therefore, physical exercises like walking or jogging, swimming, jumping on a mini-trampoline, skipping with a rope, and even yoga are all effective ways to control stress and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
